Fair criticism, I was angling for a looser definition of the idea of biodynamism. I’m making the argument that ecologically-driven farming can be modeled and understood and thus managed, at least at some level. This is an important step in the direction of convincing people to adopt holistic methods. In my experience, farmers are more compelled by science and economics than ideology and mysticism, so if we want to achieve our goals around sustainability, we have to craft a compelling argument for it. The basic science provides the compass that points in the right direction, and AgTech provides the toolkit to forge the path.
